Welcome To WHAG

Women’s Housing Action Group (WHAG) is a charitable organisation that was founded in 1981 to offer housing and support to vulnerable women. Currently funded by Supporting People a government initiative and a grant from Bury council via the Community Foundation, WHAG is a progressive charitable organisation offering a valuable and quality service to women in Rochdale & Bury.

WHAG currently delivers services in Rochdale & Bury that empowers and enables woman aged 16+ who are homeless, experiencing domestic violence, vulnerable and require support to sustain their tenancy.

Whag delivers the following services across two boroughs

Rochdale
Outreach Services – Floating Support and BME (including Urdu and Bengali speakers)

Rose Court – accommodation based service

Bury
Outreach Project
Domestic Violence Floating Support
Drop-in service
