Become a trustee

Like all charities, WHAG has a board of trustees who have overall responsibility for its work, how it uses its funding and making sure that it fulfils its legal duties as a charity.

WHAG is a company limited by guarantee, so our trustees are also company directors.

The full board meets every six weeks, usually in Rochdale. Trustees also have the opportunity to become involved in subgroups that reflect their interests and expertise, and to be involved with business planning and setting priorities for WHAG’s work.

WHAG has vacancies for trustees and is particularly interested to hear from people who have experience in

  • Safeguarding
  • Social enterprise
  • HR and personnel
  • Marketing
