CWAC Community support
WHAG’s new CWAC Community support service will run from a newly-refurbished Hub building in Blacon, Chester.
The hub will offer a drop in service that people can visit for advice and signposting to local organisations.
There will be a programme of group work sessions, such as developing positive mental health and welling, and building confidence and self esteem, and therapeutic sessions such as arts and crafts, mindfulness and mediation.
Individual counselling will be provided by local university students, and other one-to-one complementary therapies will be available.
Services will be available for both men and women.
There will also be partnerships with other organisations to increase the range of sessions on offer, such as support from the council’s Family Safety Unit around positive relationships, and drug and alcohol support from local charities and health services.
There will be links to local housing services for people needing emergency accommodation.
The Hub is due to open in summer 2018. Check back for more information and contact details.
