Development Project - Bury

Who is the service for?

  • Vulnerable women of all backgrounds
  • Aged 16 and over
  • Women living in the Borough of Bury including Whitefield, Prestwich, Radcliffe, Tottington, Ramsbottom
  • Women who feel they would benefit from support dealing with issues such as drug or alcohol misuse, mental health issues, domestic violence etc.

What do we do?

  • We have three female support workers to provide advice and support to vulnerable women.
  • We support black & ethnic minority women and have an Urdu/Punjabi speaking support worker
  • We offer a signposting service and regular drop-in sessions

We offer support with:

  • Tenancy maintenance
  • Budgeting/debts
  • Benefit applications
  • Life skills
  • Resettlement
  • Form Filling
  • Accessing training/education/employment
  • Confidence building/ independence
  • Accessing local services and attending appointments
